Anne Rice mag True Blood und ist keine Christin mehr

“For those who care, and I understand if you don’t: Today I quit being a Christian. I’m out. I remain committed to Christ as always but not to being ‘Christian’ or to being part of Christianity. It’s simply impossible for me to ‘belong’ to this quarrelsome, hostile, disputatious, and deservedly infamous group. For ten years, I’ve tried. I’ve failed. I’m an outsider. My conscience will allow nothing else.”
She followed that up with another message:
“As I said below, I quit being a Christian. I’m out. In the name of Christ, I refuse to be anti-gay. I refuse to be anti-feminist. I refuse to be anti-artificial birth control. I refuse to be anti-Democrat. I refuse to be anti-secular humanism. I refuse to be anti-science. I refuse to be anti-life. In the name of Christ, I quit Christianity and being Christian. Amen.”
oookay… Sie hatte was den christlichen Glauben anging ja schon immer eine etwas eigenwillige Vorstellung (Vampir Lestat reist in der Zeit und nuckelt an Jesus- ne is klar). Aber die Nummer ist mal deutlich.
aber hey - sie mag True Blood:
And of course, I watched True Blood as always. Had to see it. And for me the eye candy this season is Alcide (played by Joe Manganiello.) The plot’s heating up, obviously, and the old wit and humor were there again, delightfully.
Und das finde ich schon spannend… Louisiana und Vampire ist ja ziemlich ihr Thema;)
Ich sinniere gerade über ein Crossover… wie würde wohl Lestat - oder besser noch Louis - auf Eric reagieren?
Gnihihi
